In October we were able to pack up the car and go with a couple of other families to Lake Whitney for a much needed camping trip. I’ve been meaning to share these pictures for some time. But, the holidays came and then the ice storm and well…….. So Christmas is over, I am ALMOST caught up on business and getting around to showing some more family photos. I opted for a cabin in case their was a diaper emergency. But, honestly I probably would’ve got the cabin anyways because to me – that is camping. I can hear all of you die-hard campers laughing now. But, it makes no sense for me to pay to live outside. I’ve been homeless in my lifetime before and I know it can be done. So I have no desire to prove that I can do the full on outside thing. LOL!! So we went to Serenity Point. This is such a special location. They used to have NA convention meetings in the area. For those of you who are unaware, NA is narcotics Anonymous. I never went to any of those conventions but, I’ve heard much about them. There is this beautiful point with a cross and underneath that the Serenity Prayer. You have to walk up the 12 steps to get to the point. It really is a serene place. I feel this energy when I’m there of all the people that have been there before. The boys had so much fun chasing each other, catching snails. and making smores. Overall I would say it was a successful camping trip. Thank you Serenity Point!
