I get to work with and photograph so many amazing mommies who are literally inspiring me to do greater things! So I’ve decided to start featuring mommies that really motivate me to keep doing what I do. This new mommy, Jenice Johnson Williams has been in my life for some time. But, it was when she crossed that treacherous long road of infertility into the miracle of motherhood that I really got to see what the female spirit is capable of. Inspired by her precious daughter Miah, she began her own mommy website called Art is Life Motherhood. This site was created for Jenice to partner with other mommy business owners. She has a brilliant mind and generous spirit. Did I mention that Jenice is talented photographer and writer?? Now add “badass Mom” to those hyphens and there is no stopping this creative. Some of you may recognize her at almost EVERY workshop I’ve ever done. Plus her adorable baby has graced a few of my social media posts to say the least. She’s a huge a supporter of what I do which makes me so honored to call her friend.
I love Jenice for her quality to “keep it real.” Here is what she is all about in her words:
After going through infertility, I didn’t see any other way but to push everything aside once the impossible became possible. Once she was here and she showed me right away that I wasn’t going to be able to “do it all.” Relationships changed around me and within my home as a bonus mom. Things really have been trying and painful but beautiful, full of hope, and yet so unpredictable. Motherhood is like that. I needed to write this out, put in on a different platform from my artist site, and find some solidarity in it all. I have only touched the surface so far.I have always believed that everyone is an artist because art is life. Everything we do, endure, and create for our lives is art. Even the messy stuff.I’m now a momma on a mission — finding the perfect products for my munchkin (I only reach out to/work with those I feel a connection and that I know we would use), commiserating with other moms, and sharing the reality of being in this place of motherhood. I hope you enjoy it here as we stumble through this life together.
