This was a very special day for a very special little girl. Teegan was baptised on November 3, 2013 and the whole family showed up to celebrate. I connected with Teegan’s mother before the ceremony on several occasions. She explained to me that this little girl had been through a huge battle in the very short time that she has been here on Earth. But, she has triumphed and survived and being baptised was more than just a sacrament but, a true testimony that she has been “saved”. Teegan was born without an esophagus connected to her stomach. As a result, the child and her parents have been through numerous hospital visits, surgeries, late nights, and tears. Just the week of her baptism, she was struggling with issues that were going to require surgery. I talked with Suz Mom a long time about her condition and how much I respected them both for their devotion to this little angel. Teegan’s favorite monkey was along side of her the whole way. 😉
